We've officially brought in our collection containers from our supporters around the county. Our October through December Pennies for Paws fund-raiser brought in a total of 395,000 pennies ($3950)! We're not stopping there though! We still have a goal of One Million Pennies to reach! Though collection containers are no longer throughout the county we ARE still accepting any donations of change for Pennies for Paws at the shelter. Please, tell your friends, and spread the word! Keep checking the thermometer to the right for our progress! We wish to thank all those that supported us in our first Pennies For Paws fundraiser, from housing our collection containers, to dropping off handfuls/buckets of change; you all made a difference. Look for the collection containers again October through December 2010!
1st Annual Community Flea Market/Craft Sale - Saturday, May 15th
A flea market and craft sale organized to raise money for the Lennox & Addington OSPCA Animal Shelter, and to assist residents in making some extra money, and getting rid of surplus items in their homes. This in itself will help with recycling used items and less stuff going to the land fill sites.

" I am looking for vendors wanting to sell their wares whether they are flea market articles or crafts or food items.
I am hoping that this will become an annual event.
The plan is to rent out space for the vendors ($10.00 per space) and that money will also go to the charity and the vendor can keep the profits made in the space or donate it to the charity if they choose.
