Thanks girls!

  Kitties Needing Homes
posted: Aug-26-2010

Sheba, Abbey, and Pete have been at the shelter for many months each (Abbey joined us way back in February), and all are patiently waiting for their forever homes.

They are just three of so many friendly and gorgeous felines we currently have here at the shelter that desperately need loving homes.

There is a cat here for everyone. Just amongst these three specific cats alone the personalities are so diverse: Sheba loves to snuggle, be petted, and just soak in attention; while Abbey just wants to play, wrestle, and attack toys; and Pete just seems to want to watch from his perch, play when you instigate it, and nuzzle into any petting that's offered, just generally easy-going overall.

With so many cats and so little room, we urge you to stop by soon and have a look, maybe even find your perfect cat!

Pennies for Paws - Still Going!
posted: Jan-2010

We've officially brought in our collection containers from our supporters around the county. Our October through December Pennies for Paws fund-raiser brought in a total of 395,000 pennies ($3950)!

We're not stopping there though! We still have a goal of One Million Pennies to reach!

Though collection containers are no longer throughout the county we ARE still accepting any donations of change for Pennies for Paws at the shelter. Please, tell your friends, and spread the word! Keep checking the thermometer to the right for our progress!

We wish to thank all those that supported us in our first Pennies For Paws fundraiser, from housing our collection containers, to dropping off handfuls/buckets of change; you all made a difference.

Look for the collection containers again October through December 2010!

About Us

Every single day animals arrive at the Ontario SPCA Lennox & Addington Branch needing our help. We feed, exercise, bathe, socialize, play with and provide comfort to these abused, neglected and abandoned animals. We drive the wounded and sick to the veterinarian, change bandages, administer medications and monitor their recovery - with the goal of finding each animal a loving home.

Last year hundreds of animals were adopted from the Lennox & Addington Branch Adoption Centre including cats and dogs of all ages, shapes, sizes and breeds, as well as birds, rabbits, guinea pigs and more!

We invite you to drop by the shelter during adoption hours to visit the animals, or browse our site and view our adoptable animals online.
